Soccer crazy Brazil to host Cup in 2014 (Contra Costa Times)
Brazil, which has captured a record five World Cups, was awarded Tuesday the right to host 2014 soccer tournament by FIFA’s executive committee. The South American country hosted the World Cup once before, losing to Uruguay in the 1950 final.
