Officers cleared in soccer scuffle (Toronto Star)
An internal Toronto police investigation has found officers acted professionally, “with an immense amount of restraint,” during a post-match brawl at a World Cup Under-20 soccer game despite being “punched, kicked, spat on and kicked” by members of the Chilean team, says Chief Bill Blair.

Alaska soccer teams fare well (Anchorage Daily News)
The Alaska Rush 90 girls soccer team posted a 3-1-0 record in the Pleasanton Rage College Showcase over the weekend. The event is a premier college showcase for girls in the U-15 through U-19 divisions.
